Miguel & Vivian Rodriquez will join our team in November. Pray they will be encouraged as they visit churches in Honduras to raise their support.
New surgical clinic - Pray for the plans to proceed with building the clinic.
Haitian American Field, FL—Sue Martin
The hurricanes that hit Haiti during the past weeks have also touched the lives of Haitian Americans at Army of Christ Haitian Wesleyan Church in Leesburg, Florida. One of the men of the church knows of at least five of his family members who perished in the storms. Another man’s wife still lives in Haiti, and although she lives in a section of the country that is under water, her house was spared. She is now caring for roughly 40 people who have come to her home for shelter. Please pray for the American Haitians many miles away as they grieve for their countrymen and try to help.
Japan—Dennis & Priscilla Probst & Zach Motts
Special evangelistic meetings held during the fall season in many churches in Japan. Pray for these services that people will be saved and for the pastors as they follow up on new people who attend.
Annual meetings of the Japan Holiness Association - which will be held in various locations in Japan. The dates for the meetings in the greater Tokyo area are October 19-21. Dr. Victor Hamilton, former professor at Asbury College, will be the special speaker.
Dennis & Priscilla’s youngest daughter, Susanna.
Kenya—Bill & Melody Dearmon & Barbara Pinkley
Barbara, as she recovers from shingles and as she is planning to return to Kenya on November 21. Pray that all the details of her support and her trip back will go smoothly and that she will have some time to rest before returning to Kenya.
The staff at Tenwek School of Nursing thanks you for your prayers as they began the application process for the Class of 2009. More than 60 applications were read, and the majority of applicants will be invited to the school for personal interviews in November. Continue to pray that God’s choice students will be accepted into the program.
Native American Field, AZ
The field is asking that you pray for John Mattias, a former Living Word Academy student who was in a serious car accident. He is currently in a long-term rehab hospital with very serious brain injuries, and his outlook does not look good. Pray especially for John’s mother, Eugenia. His sister, Melanie, passed away several years ago after being paralyzed in a car accident.
Paraguay---Larry & Sharon Carr
Juliana. She is a Bible Institute student. She became a convert less than a year ago and has such a desire to serve the Lord. Most of her family has also come to know the Lord. Just recently she shared with me that she has ovarian cancer. Please pray that the Lord would heal her. She is already instrumental in evangelizing her neighborhood.
Our brother in-law Rick Hash - continues chemotherapy. Able to work part time but is often very tired and suffers some back pain. Pray for healing.
The new president of Paraguay, Fernando Lugo. He is a former bishop in the Catholic Church. Since his taking over power in August there have been lots of changes and lots of corruption exposed. Each day the papers report how deep the corruption has been with the former party of 61 years. Pray that God will protect those who honestly want to help the people of Paraguay.

AGC Youth Ministries program. We are investigating adding a few ministry areas and teachings to the youth pastors’ training program in order to enhance understanding and growth both of the ministry and of the spiritual lives of our youth pastors.
Field Director's Office and Residence funding. Low dollar exchange rate and local inflation made the project more expensive than originally planned.
Jonathan Mayo - has been sick for more than a month. The doctor believes he has an ulcer caused by a bacterial infection.
God’s direction for John & Erica Rinehimer and their future - they will be returning to the States on November 8th.
